Saturday, 8:58 p.m., 300 block of South Johnson Street, Bluffton. Officer attempted to serve protection order to Amanda Ali, who said the officer was there too late in the evening. Ali reportedly slammed the door in the officers face and refused to sign the order.

Saturday, 11:16 p.m., 1600 West 1200 North, Ossian. Report of a suspicious vehicle with a woman that walked around the area. Jennifer French arrested for driving while suspended, PBT .064%.
Sunday, 6:52 a.m., East 500 North and North S.R. 1, Ossian. Report of subject walking on white line in dark clothing. Officer somehow couldn’t locate them.
Sunday, 12:42 p.m., 1200 East 1200 North, Yoder. Report of an abandoned vehicle.
Monday, 12:11 a.m., 700 block of South Williams Street, Bluffton. Deputies assisted police department with a call for domestic violence. Subject refused to come out of hiding until warned that a K-9 would be sent to find him. Kyle Peterson taken to jail.
Monday, 5:18 a.m., 3700 East 1200 North, Ossian. Caller reported he accidentally let his girlfriend’s dog slip from the collar, and the dog was hit by a vehicle.
Monday, 6:53 a.m., Pak A Sak South, Bluffton. Troy Snider arrested for driving while suspended, a Class A misdemeanor.
Monday, 10:28 a.m., 5800 Sugar Street, Uniondale. Caller reported he was being harassed due to Facebook post of his mugshot and charges. Advised to change his account.
ACCIDENTS
City:
Tuesday, April 9, 11:31 p.m., north Bond Street. A 2007 Dodge Ram driven by Justin M. Adams, 42, Bluffton, was stopped at a sign and turned improperly, and collided head on with a 2003 Mazda MX-5 driven by Jackson D. Cole, 19, Bluffton. Adams was impaired by alcohol and arrested for multiple operating while intoxicated charged. Adams claimed the other vehicle was possibly driving without its headlights. Damage did not exceed $10,000.
Saturday, 9 p.m., south Morgan Street at the intersection of west Central Avenue. Kyle D. Schone, 30, Fort Wayne, was driving a stolen 2016 GMC Acadia and struck a utility pole in the alley in the 400 block of Central Avenue. Schone left on foot and was arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including operating while intoxicated, less than an hour later. Damage did not exceed $5,000.
Sunday, April 14, 12:45 p.m., Lowes. A 2015 GMC Sierra owned by Kurt Beer of Bluffton was damaged by an unknown vehicle on the passenger side while parked at Lowes. There are no witnesses or suspects at the time of report.
Sunday, April 14, 2:14 p.m. Spring Street at Wayne Street. A 2007 Dodge Charger driven by Jakk P. Campbell, 17, Bluffton, attempted to turn from Spring Street onto Wayne Street and struck a 2012 Buick LAC driven by Vicky J. Shelton, 71, Bluffton. Campbell said the other vehicle was signalling to turn left at the intersection, and Shelton disagreed but that it may have been. Campbell’s two passengers also said Shelton’s turn signal had been on. Damage did not exceed $5,000.
Monday, April 15, 7:08 a.m., Harvest Road at Main Street. A 2005 Chevrolet Impala driven by Wesley Taylor, 53, Hartford City, was pulling out of a parking lot and failed to see the oncoming 2015 Toyota Corolla driven by Besie Alvarada, 38, Lyons, Illinois. Damage did not exceed $5,000.
Monday, April 15, 10:30 p.m., Cherry Street at Adams Street. Faylynn C. Stein, 22, Bluffton, was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze and went through a stop sign and off the roadway. Stein reported she had been traveling a “little fast” after passing a car and then had seen a deer, and did not notice the road came to a T. Stein was transported to Bluffton Regional Medical Center with report of ankle pain. Damage exceeded $10,000. v
Tuesday, April 16, 5:48 p.m., S.R. 1 at Margarets Road. A 2019 Ford Ranger driven by Marty K. Grover, 67, of Bluffton, was turning westbound into a private drive and did not see a 2007 Honda CBR600 motorcycle driven by Brayden M. Rolston, 20, Markle. The bike struck the vehicle, and Rolston rolled off the bike. Rolston was transported to Bluffton Regional Medical Center for evaluation of friction wounds. The bike had disabling damage. Damage did not exceed $10,000.
Wednesday, 10:15 a.m., S.R. 124 at Elm Grove Road. A 2001 Ford Escape driven by Rose L. Moser, 71, Bluffton, was turning west onto S.R. 124 from Elm Grove Road and failed to yield the right of way to a 2023 Kia Forte driven by Kareena M. Reza, 37, Berne. Damage did not exceed $50,000.
Thursday, 12:27 p.m., Main Street near Sewage Plan Drive. Donald D. Hesher, 73, Bluffton, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck and collided with a sign. Hesher reported general illness and said he may have fallen asleep before leaving the roadway. Damage did not exceed $2,500.
Saturday, 2:23 a.m., Main Street at C.R. 300 N. Megan R. Prater, 24, Ossian, was driving a 2016 Chrysler 200 and left the roadway and into the grass area of ITOWN Church. Prater said she had been recently diagnosed with dry eyes and hadn’t been wearing her contacts, so she didn’t see the curb. Investigating officer observed the smell of alcohol, and Prater admitted to drinking earlier in the evening. Prater blew .157 and was arrested. Damage did not exceed $2,500.

Thursday, 3:34 p.m., 8922 S 450 W, Poneto. Smoke coming from structure. Liberty Township, Chester Township and Bluffton fire departments responded.
Thursday, 6:36 p.m., W 900 S and S 475 W, Montpelier. Report of diesel smell coming from drainage pipe. Bluffton and Chester Township fire departments and Emergency Management responded.
Thursday, 8:48 p.m., Ossian Health and Rehabilitation. Fire alarm.
Sunday, 5:31 p.m., Wabash Village. Fire alarm.

Kyle Allen Peterson, 45, Bluffton; domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $25,000.
Justin James Foss, 26, Bluffton; intimidation with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony, possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, invasion of privacy, a Class A misdemeanor, and battery, a Class B misdemeanor. Bond set at $17,500.
Caleb Lee Tungate, 34, Bluffton; resisting law enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor, disorderly conduct, a Class B misdemeanor, and deception – identity, a Class C misdemeanor. Bond set at $3,000.
Joshua Louis Morlan, 35, Bluffton; neglect of an animal, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $1,500.
Mason Bradie Boomershine, 20, Craigville; minor possession of an alcoholic beverage and operating while intoxicated, both Class C misdemeanors. Bond set at $1,000.
