The Brok’n Axholes car club teamed up with Bluffton firefighters last Saturday to provide 20 children and their families with a big boost toward a merry Christmas. In the course of this year, the club raised $5,000 through entry fees in car shows, donations and business sponsorships to provide each family with gift cards — and members of the Bluffton Fire Department to help them shop. Staff at the Bluffton Walmart store welcomed the shopping families and the Walmart Foundation donated $1,000 for the event. Arby’s provided all the food for an after-shopping party for the families at Washington Park. (Photos provided)
