Dana M. Horn, 34, of Bluffton, passed away Friday afternoon, July 14, 2023, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 14, 1988, in Bluffton to Jim and Deborah (Tingle) Horn.
Dana’s passion in life was helping the elderly through home heath care. She also worked as an CNA at Ossian Health Care and had almost completed her degree as a pharmacy tech. She loved life and time spent with family, good friends, and her daughter Andie. She will always be remembered for her crafty and witty sense of humor. Dana loved music and hanging out with her friends at the Hideaway.
Survivors include her father, Jim Horn of Sebring, Fla.; her daughter, Andie Lynn Shaneyfelt of Bluffton; a sister, Jen (Christian) Koop of Ossian; and niece and nephew, Nevada Lenwell and Harrison Koop, both of Ossian.
Dana is preceded in death by her mother, Deb; and grandparents, Andy and Vivian Tingle, and Bob and Beth Horn.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home with Bob Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday. An Elks Lodge Memorial Service will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home, during visitation.
Memorials may be made in Dana’s memory to a scholarship fund for her daughter, Andie, and checks can be made out to Jim Horn.
