Rosemary Hegerfeld, 81, of Roanoke, died Friday evening, May 12, 2023, at the Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 8, 1942, in Bluffton, to Henry Gerber and Ada Heyerly Gerber. She married Edwin E. Hegerfeld Jan. 28, 1968, in Bluffton; her husband preceded her in death Nov. 16, 2008.
Survivors include a son, Clark Hegerfeld of Roanoke; a daughter, Crystal Lake (fiancé Eugene Roberts) of Bluffton; four sisters, Gladys Gerber, Virginia Gerber, Martha (Rex) Gentis, and Marcella Dillman, all of Bluffton; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rosemary was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Gerber, and a sister, Susan “Sue” Kipfer.
Private family graveside services will be held at Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Adams County with Doyle Frauhiger officiating. The Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
