City:
Tuesday, 2:30 p.m. Accidental 911 call from 2105 N. Main St.
Tuesday, 3:32 p.m. Police were asked to assist with an animal control matter in the 1000 block of West South Street. There was a report of thin dogs.
Tuesday, 4:42 p.m., 400 block of West Cherry Street. Officers responded to a welfare check request. Officers returned at 8:40 p.m. and the individual in question said she would stay outside for the night.
Tuesday, 4:46 p.m., 400 block of East Arnold Street. Officer took possession of a small glass jar that appears to have white powder residue in it.
Tuesday, 5:28 p.m., 800 block of South Jersey Street. Officers responded to a burning complaint.
Tuesday, 7:44 p.m. A caller reported a possible case of child abuse at Whicker Park. Officer spoke with mother and children appeared to be in good spirits. Officer would attempt to view surveillance video and contact the hotline.
Wednesday, 1:50 a.m. Police asked to perform a welfare check at the workplace for an Adams County resident. He was located and all was fine.
Wednesday, 9:09 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a protection order in the 1100 block of South Morgan Street.
Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. Police were notified of a report that one vehicle struck another in the parking lot of the Bargain Hut, 120 W. Spring St. The vehicle left the scene.
Wednesday, 12:15 p.m. Officer performed a requested welfare check in the 1000 block of West Wabash Street. Individual was sleeping.
County:
Tuesday, 2:17 p.m., County Road 450 West north of 900 South. Domestic issue. Situation calmed.
Tuesday, 2:36 p.m. Norwell High School parking lot. Two vehicles each driven by students had a minor collision. Officer spoke with both students’ mothers, one of whom came to the scene. All agreed no report necessary.
Tuesday, 8:47 p.m., Windridge Rd. 911 hang-up. Officer spoke with occupants. Accidental dial.
Tuesday, 10:09 p.m., 11000 block of North Ind. 1. Report of suicidal person, when officer arrived, situation had calmed. Officer spoke with all parties and offered counseling which was declined.
Tuesday, 11:14 p.m., 225 Ferguson Park Ct. (Kingdom Academy). report of unoccupied vehicle in parking lot. Officer checked all doors; secure.
Wednesday, 2:32 a.m., County Road 100 N east of 100 E. report of house fire. Turned out to be a trailer on fire. Fire under control at 2:46 a.m.
Wednesday, 3:35 a.m., County Road 200 South west of 200 West. REMC utility pole struck by a vehicle. No injuries. No further details available.
Wednesday, 3:58 a.m. Welfare check requested at residence in 11000 block of South 100 East. No one was at the residence. Area search could not find the individual concerned.
FIRE CALLS
Tuesday, 5:54 p.m. Caller said her smoke detectors won’t stop going off. Bluffton Fire Department personnel assisted with changing the batteries.
Wednesday, 1917E-100N Camper fully engulfed.
ARRESTS
Traveon A. Ali-Bratton, 39, Fort Wayne. Driving wile suspended and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
October Lane, 20, Warren. Possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.
