Friday, 3:07 p.m. 911 call from the 900 block of West about an ongoing dispute.

Friday, 3:11 p.m., 400 block of South Johnson Street. 

Friday, 4:37 p.m., 200 block of Toll Circle. Accidental 911 call.

Friday, 7 p.m., 800 block of Kimberly Drive. Child sitting on caller’s porch. Child was reunited with family.

Friday, 9:36 p.m. Report of two dogs barking in the area of Honeysuckle Lane.

Saturday, 12:24 a.m.  Caller was concerned about a large bonfire in a backyard. Officers said fire was controlled and in a fire pit.

Saturday, 1:35 a.m. Caller reported threatening calls that were supposedly from a nearby police department. Caller was advised that all signs pointed to a scam.

Saturday, 2:01 a.m. Suspicious activity reported at the 4-H Park. Officer reported it was restaurant employees playing Pokemon Go.

Saturday, 5:48 a.m. Woman asleep in a car at the McDonald’s restaurant, 984 N. Main St. She would be waiting for her brother to come and pick her up.

Saturday, 1:07 p.m. Caller said juveniles in Roush Park and one of them may have had alcohol.  Officer unable to locate.

Saturday, 3:26 p.m. Accidental 911 call from Lowe’s, 2105 N. Main St.

Saturday, 5:59 p.m. Accidental call from the 400 block of South Main Street.

Saturday, 11:04 p.m. Woman reported to be pushing a wheelchair in the road at North Main and East Wabash streets. Officer reported she made it home.

Saturday, 11:16 p.m. Individual causing a problem at the Stag Bar, 205 W. Market St. Officer warned subject for disorderly conduct and he said he was going home. Individual returned 10 minutes later and the establishment turned its music down.

Sunday, 2:08 a.m., 200 W. Washington St. Women’s bicycle found in alley.

Sunday, 9:02 a.m. Purse reported stolen in the 400 block of East Arnold Street.

Sunday, 7:01 p.m. Individual asked for police to stand by while he removed a license plate off of a vehicle. Individual was advised to cancel plate with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

Sunday, 8:29 p.m. Accidental 911 call from the 1000 block of West Washington Street.

Monday, 12:02 a.m. Individual causing a commotion at West Wabash and Marion streets. Individual said he would be walking home.

Monday, 5:44 a.m. Individual reported theft of $30 cash and two handguns from his vehicle overnight.

Monday, 9:26 a.m. Caller reported receiving two threatening calls asking for $300.

 Monday, 9:34 a.m. Ladies’ wallet found at Superwash, 1704 N. Main St. Monday, 9:35 a.m. Suspicious activity reported in area behind Bargain Hut. Officers unable to locate.

Monday, 1:11 p.m. Unwanted party reported at America’s Best Value Inn, 100 Charles Deam Court.

Friday, 3:31 p.m., East Harrison Road and South Main Street, Bluffton. Citation issued for operating a vehicle with expired plates. 

Friday, 4:23 p.m., 5300W 1100S, Montpelier. Assisted with unlocking a van with four children buckled in their car seats. 

Friday, 9:47 p.m., Ind. 116 and Church Road, Vera Cruz. Report of a bonfire on the side of the roadway and several parked vehicles causing a hazard to passing traffic. Deputy made contact with individuals under the bridge driving their vehicles through the mud and asked if they had permission from the town to be on town property. One of the individuals stated he had been granted permission a few years ago. Deputy advised they would need to make contact with the town again and advised them to move the vehicles due to the parking issue. 

Saturday, 3:01 a.m., Ind. 116 and 500W. Dispatched to an abandoned vehicle with a tarp beside it that contained bones and a brick that had the letters “RIP” on it. Deputies determined the bones were animal bones. Deputies also made contact with a nearby man camping, who stated everything was OK. 

Saturday, 8:15 a.m., 300W and Oak Road. Abandoned vehicle tagged.

Saturday, 2:56 p.m., 5880 North Lincoln Ave., Uniondale. Caller reported a woman had been stealing rocks from this property. 

Saturday, 4:17 p.m., 577W Ind. 218, Poneto. Report of loud noise and smoke following. Unable to located the reported issue. 

Saturday, 4:19 p.m., 7138 North Meridian Rd., Uniondale. Report of a smashed mail box and tire tracks in yard. Deputies made contact with caller, who stated that cars had driven in his yard multiple times in the last couple weeks and earlier that day the mailbox had been hit. Caller stated he did not want an investigation, but wanted to make the county aware this activity was happening.

Saturday, 10:54 p.m., Ind. 1 and 350N. Vehicle observed with no tag light. Driver Maung Ngwe had a permit from New York but did not have a license. The vehicle’s passenger also did not have a license. The vehicle was towed by Freeman’s.

Sunday, 12:27 a.m., U.S. 224 and Ind. 1. Vehicle died on the side of U.S. 224. Deputy followed the vehicle back to the driver’s residence while the vehicle’s lights weren’t functioning.

Sunday, 4:36 a.m., Kroger, Bluffton. Person appeared to be walking around while high. Unable to locate. 

Sunday, 8:26 a.m., Ind. 218 and 200W. Citation issued for 78 in a 55 mph zone. 

Sunday, 5:18 p.m., Main Street and Dustman Road, Bluffton. Report of a vehicle with its windshield broken and driver appeared to be falling asleep while driving. 

Sunday, 6:35 p.m., 14E Washington St, Poneto. Stray husky from this location broke loose. 

Dog was taken into custody by its owner.

Sunday, 8:22 p.m., 400E and Ind. 116. Deer accident. 

Sunday, 10:51 p.m., 2970W Walnut St, Liberty Center. Report of an individual threatening to break into the caller’s house. 

Monday, 2:44 a.m., Main Street and Washington Street, Bluffton. Assisted the Bluffton Police Department with a man who appeared to be intoxicated. Field sobriety tests were conducted and SoToxa tests returned positive for cannabis. David Lee Cruz III, 19, Bluffton, was arrested for public intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor. Bond set at $1,000.

ACCIDENTS

County:

Wednesday, 9:47 p.m., North 100E, Bluffton. Deven C. Minnich, 20, Bluffton, was driving a 2003 Suzuki GSX-R1000K motorcycle northbound on 100E behind a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Jesse S. Bradford, 18, Bluffton. Minnich’s bike then collided with the back of the vehicle when Bradford slowed down to turn left into a driveway. Damage exceeded $1,000. 

Thursday, 2:32 p.m., 900N at 150E, Ossian. Karla C. Levitz, 64, Uniondale, was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram pick-up stopped at the intersection when a truck began turning left from 150E to 900N. Levitz backed her vehicle to give the truck more space, striking the front end of a 2021 Hyundai Sonata driven by Ryan P. O’Connor, 38, Markle. The Hyundai logo was damaged on O’Connor’s vehicle, but no other damage was observed on either vehicle. Total damage under $1,000. 

Saturday, 5:22 a.m., 300W, Keystone. Richelle N. Gill, 42, Montpelier, was driving a 2017 Infinity QX80 northbound on 300W and struck a deer. Damage exceeded $5,000. 

Sunday, 9:07 p.m., Ind. 1 near 350N, rural Bluffton. Stephanie N. Elzey, 34, Uniondale, was driving a 2015 Hyundai Sonata northbound on Ind. 1 when a deer ran into the roadway and she unable to avoid collision. The vehicle was towed by Freeman’s. Damage exceeded $1,000. 

Monday, 6:08 a.m., Ind. 124 at 300W, Bluffton. Jeremy C. McNight, 39, Muncie, was driving a 2008 Buick Lucerne east on Ind. 124 when a deer entered the roadway. The collision with the deer caused significant damage to vehicle, which was left at the side of the road to be towed later. Damage exceeded $5,000. 

ARRESTS

Andrew Curtis Dickerman, 37, Fort Wayne; theft of auto parts, a Level 6 felony, unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, a Level 6 felony, and criminal conversion, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $5,000.

Jeffrey Michael Bell, 29, Uniondale; probation violation, a Class A misdemeanor. No bond set. 

Ronnie Eugene Slone Jr., 44, Markle; failure to appear. Bond set at $1,000.
