Jack Lynn Bentley, 74, a lifetime resident of Jefferson Township in Huntington County, near Warren, died unexpectedly at his home Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022.
He was born Aug. 26, 1948, in Huntington, to George W. Bentley and Helen Fern Amsden Bentley. His parents preceded him in death.
He married Margaret Hoover Aug. 11, 1967, at the Jefferson United Methodist Church. His wife survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lisa (Dale) McCune of Markle and Stacy Wiley of Huntington; a son, Jeff (Chandra) Bentley of Bargersville; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Betty Zimmerman of Warren and Mary B. McCoy of Huntington; and a brother, J.R. (Jean) Bentley of Warren.
Calling will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Solid Rock UMC, 485 Bennett Drive in Warren. Services will be held at the church at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19. Burial will follow at the Lancaster Cemetery in Huntington, Indiana.
