Roberta Lucille Hodge Blackburn, 86 was born June 4, 1935, in Greensburg, Ind., to Albert Oscar Hodge and Vivian Lucille Robinson Hodge. She passed away March 17, 2022 in Chattanooga, Tenn.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents; her brother, Larry Hodge; and her children, Mark Blackburn, Charles (Chucky) Blackburn and Sharon Blackburn.

She is survived by her siblings George Hodge, Gary Hodge, and Judy Richardson, and her children, Steven (Sandra) Blackburn, David Blackburn and Charla (Steve) Scovil. She is also survived by the nieces and nephews that she raised as her own children, Pam (Gene) Brown, Cheryl Sweeney, Ken (Kortni) Roberts, Valerie Roberts, Darla (Tom) Moores, Jeff (Katina) Roberts, and Yvonda (John) Roberts-Whitfield.

She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

There were many others that she took in and loved as if they were her children over the years.

She enjoyed gardening, playing games, bird watching, and reading, and passed her love of God onto her children and others that she encountered.

Roberta is buried at Lee Cemetery in Cleveland, Tenn.

A memorial service will be held at the Fort Wayne Seventh Day Adventist Church at 10 a.m. May 29.
