Carol Sue Will Thomas, 84 of Markle, passed away peacefully at her residence Sunday, April 3, 2022, with her family around her.
Carol Sue was a 1955 graduate of Markle High School. She worked on the farm beside her husband and was a bus driver for Northern Wells Community Schools. She later worked at Kmart Corporation and Simpson Industries, respectively. Landscaping was Carol’s passion and she was the ultimate “do-it-yourselfer.” She also loved to travel.
Carol Sue was born on April 10, 1937, in Markle, to Kenneth D. Will and Mary M. Deiser Will.
She was united in marriage to Richard L. Thomas Sr. on April 15, 1956, in Markle. Richard preceded her in death May 20, 2013.
Survivors include three sons, Dale (Kim) Thomas of Uniondale, Richard Thomas Jr. of Uniondale, and Michael (Adriana) Thomas of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Kim Mitchell of Fort Wayne and Maridona Thomas of Markle; and nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St. in Markle. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, at the funeral home following visitation.
The family will have a private interment at the Horeb Cemetery in Uniondale.
