Mark A. Hoffman, 61, of rural Bluffton, passed away Sunday morning, Mar. 13, 2022, at his residence.
Mark was born April 10, 1960, in Fort Wayne, to Neil and Geraldine Miller Hoffman. His father survives in Bluffton.
Mark married Alesia J. Vaughn June 7, 2011, in Waynedale; she survives.
Mark was a journeyman carpenter for Carpenters Local Union No. 232 in Fort Wayne for 20 years, retiring in 2018. He was an avid outdoorsman, and especially loved hunting and fishing. He was dearly loved by his friends and family and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his father and his wife, Mark is survived by a son, Shaun (Jennifer) Ison of Columbia City; three grandchildren, Olivia Ison, Jacob Hyser, and Damion Ison; along with his mother-in-law, Hedy Vaughn of Bluffton, and also his sister-in-law, Kay Vaughn.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Hoffman.
Per Mark’s request, no services are planned at this time. The Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In honor of Mark’s love for animals, especially dogs, memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals — the “ASPCA.”
