Wes Minnich, owner of Minnich Motors, opened the dealership after years of hearing from friends and community members about the challenges of finding reasonably priced, reliable vehicles for their families. “I’ve always wanted to get my car dealer’s license, and after considering the feedback from the community and my own experience, I felt it was the right time,” Minnich said. “I wanted to offer something different – fully inspected and reconditioned cars to be safe and reliable, yet still affordable.”

With a background in vehicle detailing, service, parts, and sales at Hiday Motors and extensive experience in automotive reconditioning. Minnich brings a wealth of knowledge to his new venture. At Minnich Motors, each vehicle undergoes a thorough inspection and reconditioning process, often requiring up to 10 hours of labor and about $1,000 in parts and repairs. This ensures every car sold meets high standards for safety and reliability.

Minnich Motors takes a hands-on approach to sourcing vehicles, carefully selecting cars at auctions, and investing time in ensuring they are in the best condition possible. “I go to the Fort Wayne auction with a list of 20 cars, test drive them and narrow it down to the ones that meet our quality standards. It’s important to me that we don’t just slap a sticker on a car and put it up for sale. We want to offer vehicles that we feel confident putting our own families in,” Minnich explained. Looking ahead, Minnich plans to expand the dealership’s inventory to include more vehicles.

The dealership also focuses on providing flexible hours to meet the needs of its customers. While the official hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Minnich Motors offers appointments on Saturdays and is willing to accommodate customers outside of regular hours.

Minnich Motors is excited to be a part of the Bluffton community and looks forward to helping families find the right vehicle at the right price.
