Shirley L. Boxell, 72, of Bluffton, passed away Monday afternoon, April 10, 2023, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
Shirley was born in Bluffton on Nov. 15, 1950, to Dale Leon “Shortly” and Betty (Moser) Mann. Both parents preceded her in death.
Shirley graduated from Norwell High School in 1968. She worked at The Dutch Mill in Bluffton, along with Keebler Snack Foods, Wells Community Hospital, Christian Care Retirement Community, and finished her career working at Bi-County Services in Bluffton.
Survivors include a grandson, Matthew McBride of Ohio; two brothers, Steven (Christine) Mann of Sarasota, Fla., and David (Sandy) Mann of Bluffton; and a sister, Cheryl Mann Browning of Graceville, Fla.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a daughter, Megan Boxell.
Shirley loved her friends, coworkers and her family. However, she especially loved and missed her precious daughter, Megan. Her grandson, Matthew, was also most special in her eyes. She will be lovingly missed by many.
A graveside service and burial will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton at a later date. Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorial contributions in Shirley’s memory may be made to Wells County Council on Aging or to an organization of the donor’s preference.
