Monday, 4:23 p.m., Fort Wayne Pediatrics contacted the police department to report that a mother had brought her young daughter to the doctor to be checked out after the girl had been bitten by a dog on the Bluffton Free Street Fair midway Saturday.

Monday, 4:56 p.m., residence in the 1100 block of West South Street. Loud verbal altercation between a woman and her teenage daughter over use of the bathroom. Officers responded. Situation calmed.

Monday, 5:49 p.m., Lowe’s Home Improvement, 2105 N. Main St. Employee reported theft of license plate from a 2009 Kia Sportage while at work.

Monday, 6:12 p.m., residence in the 400 block of East Ohio Street. Caller reported bicycle stolen from the front porch of the residence. The bike was later located at the Hardee’s restaurant on Main Street and recovered by the owner.

Monday, 3:19 p.m., residence on 500W south of 400S near Warren. Burglar alarm. Sheriff’s deputy responded. No sign of foul play found.

Monday, 6:30 p.m., Ind. 218 at 700E. Semi became stuck in the ditch trying to make a tight turn at the narrow intersection.

Tuesday, 10:18 a.m., residence on 250N across from Timber Ridge Golf Course. Burglar alarm. Deputies responded. Alarm accidentally tripped.

ACCIDENTS

Saturday, 6:25 a.m., Bond Street at Wabash Street. It had been raining and the street surface was wet. Jessica Gilbert, 25, Bluffton, was attempting a left turn from Wabash onto Bond, her 2018 Chevrolet Cruze slid out of control on the wet street, slid into the front yard at 128 N. Bond St., hit a large landscaping rock and caused the rock to roll southward across the driveway of the residence and come to a stop on the opposite side of the drive where it had been positioned. The car also came to a stop in the yard. Damage exceeded $2,500.

Sunday, 6:38 p.m., Marzane Road at 1100N. Noah R. Edwards, 17, rural Ossian, was driving a 2011 Subaru Impreza east on 1100N. He stopped for the stop sign at the intersection with Marzane Road, and failing to see any traffic approaching, entered the intersection where he nearly collided with a northeast bound 2014 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Colten W. Strunk, 15, rural Markle. Strunk managed to successfully swerve around the Cruze to avoid the collision but then drove off the road into the ditch, causing more than $1,000 damage to the Cruze.

FIRE RUNS

Saturday, 9:55 p.m., Premier Flats apartments, 265 Premier Avenue. Caller reported being able to see flames in a nearby apartment. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched and requested mutual aid from Ossian and Liberty Township departments. There was no one home in the apartment at the time. Officers were able to gain access to the apartment and the flames turned out to be two unattended burning candles, which were extinguished.

Sunday, 7:39 a.m., Norwell High School, 1100E-U.S. 224. Fire alarm. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched. Uniondale Fire Department dispatched for mutual aid. No fire. Alarm malfunctioned.

Monday, 2:41 p.m., Star Engineering, 1717 W. Lancaster St. Water flow alarm. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched. Alarm malfunctioned.

Justin Allen Walters, 38, Bluffton; invasion of privacy, a Level 6 felony. Bond set at $50,000.

Dakota Michael Carr, 24, Pennville; possession of a Schedule I, II, III, or IV controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $3,000.

Kris A. Reinhard, 50, rural Geneva; 45 mph-30 zone, Jackson Street in the Lancaster Elementary School speed zone.

Quinton G. Howard, 19, Warren; failure to stop at a through highway, 200S at Ellingham Pike.

Earl Deandre Harris, 43, Fort Wayne; refusal to identify self while stopped of either an infraction or an ordinance violation, a Class C misdemeanor. Released on his own recognizance.

Kim Elaine Harris, 62, rural Churubusco; probation violation. No bond set.

Jade Marie Glover, 36, Bluffton; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. Bond set at $1,500.

Paige Lyndy Sills, 25, Indianapolis; driving while suspended with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $2,000.

Steven W. Harvey, 56, rural Keystone; communication intimidation, a Level 6 felony. Bond set at $5,000.
