Ossian Fire Chief Ben Fenstermaker blocked off Wells County Road 600E in Tocsni Monday afternoon after a large portion of a sycamore tree in the front yard of Jeremy and Donna Willson fell across the road. A strong thunderstorm with wins in excess of 50 mph roared through the county late Monday afternoon causing the damage. The fire department was paged out after the tree also snagged an Indiana Michigan power line. Firefighters stood by until a crew from I&M could arrive.
