The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and ambassadors held a ribbon cutting for Lotus Revival with owner, Kourtney Townsend, on April 27.
Lotus Revival is located at 1645 Hillcrest Drive Suite D, in Ossian.
Townsend has been a massage therapist for more than 10 years, starting work in the Decatur area.
“I worked for a chiropractor, salon, and other facilities over the years and decided to come to Ossian in 2020 to this location,” said Townsend.
Within the year, Townsend started to outgrow the space and approached the complex owner about moving to the north end of the building, where Chatterbox was located, to expand the business. The space was large enough to add another business that compliments Townsend’s services. Owner Madison Huber with Beauty & Beyond also leases in the same space.
Townsend’s love for the beauty industry allowed her to continue adding services.
“I am excited to announce that I received a certification in microblading this past October,” said Townsend. “Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure that is performed with a special manual tool that deposits pigment and creates fine, individual hair-like strokes into the top layer of the skin of the brow. The procedure enhances the shape, density, and definition of your natural brows.”
Townsend offers a variety of massage therapy services for clients ranging from Swedish relaxation, deep tissue, pregnancy, and cupping.
“Our goal is to provide personalized attention, help clients reduce stress and pain, and work on specific problem areas,” said Townsend. “We are currently in the process of hiring an additional massage therapist, who will be starting with us soon. We are always looking for the next best thing to add to our services.”
Lotus Revival is open Monday through Saturday by appointment only. Bookings can be made on the website at www.lotusrevivalspa.com
“We are excited to be here,” Townsend said. “The space is perfect, and we love it.”
