Raymond D. Markley passed away on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024.
Ray was born March 8, 1936, to Earl Markley Jr. and Elsie Louise. Ray served in the National Guard for six years. It was during this time that Ray married Patricia S. Hannon. They had three children together and remained happily married for 54 years. Ray worked for General Motors in Marion. He retired as a tool and die maker after 46 years of service.
Ray is survived by a brother, David Markley; a sister, Jauneanne Monroe; a son, Raymond D. Markley Jr.; a daughter, Lisa (Tim) Downam; six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Pat, one son, Robert Markley, two sisters, Nancy and Sandra, and one brother, Jerry.
Funeral Services will be held on Jan. 4 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N State Road 3 in Muncie. Visitation starts at 10 a.m. and the service will begin at 11 a.m.
They are now together forever.
