Norwell’s boys’ basketball team made the 61-mile day trip to Wawasee High School and it was well worth the drive.
The Knights won both games to win the Wawasee Holiday Tournament, improving to 8-2 on the season and now are winners of five games in a row.
In the 10 a.m. game, Norwell defeated Elkhart Christian (2-4) 52-32. Adam McBride led the team with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Nick McBride added 12 and Josh McBride 10.
At 7:30 p.m., Norwell defeated Wawasee (3-7) 52-36 in the championship game. Adam scored 17 to lead the team, Nick 16 and Josh 12.
