This week, as you read this column, everyone will be celebrating Halloween with parties, costumes, and lots of candy treats.
Trick-or Treat hours are listed for Halloween night as: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for Zanesville, Fort Wayne, Bluffton and Markle, 5 to 8 p.m. for Andrews and Roanoke, 5:30 to 8 p.m. for Huntington, and 6 p.m. for Ossian. Please leave your porch light on and look out for costumers on the streets.
Don’t forget to get out and vote. If you are an Allen County resident of Zanesville you can vote at Indiana Wesleyan ahead of time on Monday, Oct. 28, through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Robin and I spent a great fall party evening with Sis and her family and friends recently at her home in the country where she and her husband Jeremiah live. We again spent a night with them as we opted to attend a Gospel Sing at the New Beginning Church near Poneto. The singing was great and the finger food delicious. Sis owned the restaurant in Zanesville. The lack of customers and the rise in rent and utilities caused her to close. I wish she was still here!
The good news is that the County Line Pizza and Pub has a new owner who is planning to expand and have more hours.
Our Zanesville Lions Free Library has closed. The opening was a dream of mine so that books could be free to all area residents.
