The Annex of the Wells County Historical Museum was the place to be Sunday afternoon for the annual Ice Cream Social. Serving up ice cream and all of the fixings were Becky Behning and Elaine McAfee, at right. Visitors could view the Wells County Military displays as they enjoyed their ice cream as well as check out the antique Model A Ford cars that were brought from Fort Wayne by members of the Old Fort Model A Car Club.

Star of the show
A 1911 Model T Ford took bragging rights for being the oldest car in the Wells County Historical Museum’s parking lot Sunday afternoon as the museum’s annual Ice Cream Social and visit from Model A Ford cars took place. The car, restored over a four year period by Jay Bolante of Columbia City arrived by trailer as Bolante and his wife Dale and friends Rose and Dan had been at another nearby car show and heard about the Ice Cream Social and Model A car gathering.
