Bluffton and Wayne all but made it to the third inning of Wednesday’s softball contest before rain grew heavy and postponed the game.
The Tigers were up 6-2 before the umpires called it. This game will resume at a later date with the same score and point of the game. The teams were about to begin the third inning.
In those two innings, Bluffton got its offense rolling. Tressa Renner and Marly Drayer picked up RBI singles in the two frames and later scored on wild pitches. Tyrah Shaw’s sacrifice fly finished the scoring.
Wayne got its run on a double by Gabby Carrillo and Jamala Tucker scoring on a sac fly.
Blufton’s next scheduled game will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 13 against New Haven.
