Bluffton Common Council to be sworn in Monday

The Bluffton Common Council will meet at noon Monday, Jan. 1, to be sworn into office. They will meet in the Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 128 E. Market St.

County Drainage Board will meet Tuesday afternoon

The Wells County Drainage Board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, in Room 105, the multi-purpose room on the lower level of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St.

Topics on the agenda will include:

• Reorganization of the board

• Certification of 2024 drain collections

• Project updates and miscellaneous drainage matters

Bluffton Board of Works to meet Tuesday afternoon

The Bluffton Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, in the Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 128 E. Market St.

Topics on the agenda will include: 

• Revisiting the water bill dispute from 427 W. Wabash from the Dec. 5 meeting. 

• A handicap request from Jennifer Nelson.

• A personnel request from Michelle Simon.

• Approval of 2023 purchase orders.

Wells County Council postpones first meeting

The Wells County Council will not meet 7 p.m. Jan. 2 as previously scheduled. Instead, they will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 9. An agenda for that meeting will be available at later date.

Area Plan Commission will meet Thursday evening
