Wednesday, 4:22 p.m., 500 block of East Horton Street. Report of violation of protective order.
Wednesday, 5:31 p.m., Praxis. Woman reported assault.
Wednesday, 6:07 p.m., Ridgewood Lane and Sherwood Drive. Caller complained of a solicitor at door. Unable to locate anyone matching description.
Wednesday, 6:24 p.m., 400 block of East Horton Street. Officer collected drug evidence discovered during a probation search.
Wednesday, 7:15 p.m., 1200 block of Lancaster Street. Caller reported calls from someone who does not speak when he answers the phone. Advised to block the number.
Wednesday, 7:24 p.m., Connecting Center. Request to speak to an officer for civil issue.
Wednesday, 7:35 p.m., West Wabash and North Johnson streets. Report of fighting. Officer spoke to subject who advised he was venting and not fighting.
Wednesday, 8:53 p.m., Wells County Jail. Subject ran out of gas. Transported man to gas station to get fuel and get his vehicle running again.
Wednesday, 9:11 p.m., North Memory Lane and West Lancaster Street. Report of 7 to 8 inches of standing water not draining.
Thursday, 7:26 a.m., Citgo. Caller found a bag of white powder believed to be drugs.
Thursday, 7:44 a.m., Pak A Sak South. Caller reported vehicle left at gas station all night. Could not locate the owner and requested it be towed. Freemans towed the vehicle.
Ossian:
Wednesday, 3:13 p.m., East 100 North and North Ind. 1, Ossian. Report of a stop sign in the yard.
Thursday, 12:31 a.m., 1200 block of Baker Drive, Ossian. Caller requested welfare check for father who did not show up to work.
Thursday, 8:28 a.m., Ind. 1 and East Ind. 224, Ossian. Driver ran out of fuel in north bound lane, officers assisted.
County:
Wednesday, 6:38 p.m., Wells County Jail. A no contact order was issued for Stephen Butt at the jail.
Thursday, 5:14 a.m., Markle Health and Rehabilitation. Caller advised of an 86 year old male who was found deceased. The coroner confirmed it was a natural death.
Thursday, 9:16 a.m., North Marzane Road and West 700 North, Markle. Driver issued citation for speeding.
Thursday, 11:14 a.m., East 300 North and North 100 East, Bluffton. Officer assisted a semi truck driver with turning his vehicle around.
ACCIDENTS
City:
Tuesday, 11:11 p.m., Ind. 116 and West Hunter Road. Sa Nar was driving Eastbound on Ind. 116 when Stephen Skinner pulled in front of her. Skinner’s Chevy Equinox collided with Nar’s Nissan Sentra. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene. Damages not exceeding $50,000.

Thursday, 11:34 a.m., Ind. 218 and CR 200 West. Keenan Shepard was turning left onto South 200 West when his Chevrolet Cavalier was struck by a Ford E-450 driven by Phoenix Gardner. Gardner stated he saw Shepards vehicle ahead but did not observe any brake lights or turn signals. He attempted to swerve into the eastbound lane to avoid a collision. Gardner’s Ford E-450 struck the drivers side of Shepard’s Chevrolet Cavalier at a right angle. Both vehicles continued off of the roadway and into a nearby field. A witness stated Shepard had a visible blinker at the time of the accident. Shepard sustained a cut to his neck which was visibly bleeding. No other injuries reported. Damages not exceeding $25,000.
ARRESTS
Eyzaac Jabez Zaid Sanders, 22, Marion, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated – endangerment, a Class A Misdemeanor. No bond set.
Nicholas Aaron Zachary Phipps, 33, Greencastle, was arrested for driving while suspended, a Class A Misdemeanor. No bond set.
William Robert Mettler, 75, Bluffton, was arrested for false informing/reporting, a Class B Misdemeanor. Bond set at $1,000.
