The Northeast 8 Conference announced its award winners for both softball and baseball Sunday.
Norwell’s softball team earned six all-conference honors, while the baseball team earned five.
For softball, the Knights had one first-team selection, won by junior Jordan Markley.
Outfielder Delaney Connett, catcher Kaydance Clark, and corner infielder Emma Bailey received second-team. Sami Lemler as a pitcher and Leah Werling as a middle infielder were honorable mentions.
Leo had 11 selections to lead all teams. Huntington North finished as the champion with a perfect 7-0 record and handed the Lions their first loss of the 24-1 season to do so.
The Knights’ baseball team had three first-team mentions. Brody Bolyn as a corner infielder, Lleyton Bailey middle infield, and Drew Graft outfield.
Lane Lewis as a pitcher and Luke Graft in the outfield earned second-team honors.
DeKalb led the field with eight selections.
Huntington North also won the baseball conference with a 7-0 record, defeating Norwell to do so.
