Ruth Ann Borne, 75, passed away Sunday evening, March 5, 2023, at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton. Her death followed a short illness.
Ruth was born July 12, 1947, in Waterloo, Ind., to Oliver F. and Violet V. Brinneman Blumenhorst. Both parents preceded her in death. She married George E. Borne on June 29, 1968, in Plum Tree, Ind. He survives in Bluffton.
Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. Ruth graduated from Salomonie Township High School with the class of 1966. She was involved with Camp Mack, helped with Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, and was a member of Home Economics Clubs in Adams and Wells counties. She was also a member of the Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren in Decatur.
In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by two children, Veora Borne of Bluffton and Fred Borne-Dumont of Las Vegas, Nev.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at the Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, followed immediately by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Pastor Jay Carter will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Dale Cemetery.
