CREATIVE ARTS SUMMER CAMPS

Registration is now open for four summer arts camps sponsored by the Creative Arts Council of Wells County.

The camps are:

• Theater Intensive ­ “The Wizard of Oz” for youth ages 12-18. Auditions are April 29 and performances are June 16 and 17.

•  Theater Intensive: “Disney’s Winnie the Pooh” for youth ages 8-11.  Auditions are May 13 and performances are June 23 and 24.

• Summer Dance Camp, for ages 4-18,  to be held June 26 through June 30. Classes are as follows: Intermediate Advanced Class (Ballet 4, 5, or 6), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. tuition $350); Continuing Ballet (Ballet 3), 10:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., tuition $125; Ballet Basics (6-8 year olds), 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., tuition $125); Creative Movement (4-5 year olds), 10 to 10:45 a.m., tuition $75.

• Summer Arts Academy, for elementary-school students.

Creative Arts Theater SINGS

Hits from your favorite musicals will be presented April 21, 22, and 23 at the Life Community Church auditorium.

An evening of musical entertainment featuring your favorite songs from various musicals with a cast of all ages.  

Tickets, at $10 per person, go on sale March 8 at  https://www.wellscocreativearts.com/upcoming-shows-1

Performances will be at 7 p.m. Friday, April 21; 7 p.m. Saturday, April 22; and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 23. The auditorium is at 428 S. Oak St. in Bluffton. 

Ongoing Activities 

Creative Crew: Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Life Community Church. All forms of creativity are welcome — painting, drawing, needlework, and more. Spend the morning working on your craft and socialize with other artists.  Enter Door 1 or Door 10 at Life Community Church. The creative crew meets in the café.

Readers’ Brown Bag Luncheon: Meeting the last Tuesday of the month at noon at Life Community Church; enter Door 10. All readers are welcome. Call the CAC office for more information.
