Thursday, 2:09 p.m., Main Street at Dustman Road. Man fell and struck his head, got back up and kept trying to walk north on Main Street. Officer dispatched.
Thursday, 2:53 p.m., 1120 E. River Rd. Tire blew on a pickup truck causing the truck to veer off the road cause minor damage to the grass in the front yard of the residence. A passerby who witnessed the incident called 911 and could not advise if anyone was trapped or injured in the pickup truck so Wells County EMS and Bluffton Fire Rescue were dispatched to the scene, however the accident was relatively minor.
Thursday, 9:10 p.m., Wabash River bank in the area of the 400 block of North Marion Street. Report of suspicious people walking by the river. Officers checked the area, but only saw a deer that ran away as the officers approached.

Wednesday, 4:30 p.m., Main Street at Charles Deam Court. Donald C. Bottorf, 70, Fort Wayne, was waiting to make a left turn into a gravel parking lot in his 2017 Buick Encore. Traffic was backed up for a long stretch because of construction work and a driver in the inside southbound lane made a gap for Bottorf and waved at him to make his turn. He did and turned into the path of a southbound 2017 Ford Escape in the outside southbound lane driven by Julie M. Modlin, 44, Bluffton. Damage exceeded $10,000.
Thursday, 6 p.m., Main Street at Dustman Road. Shunta D. Eskridge, 19, Jefferson City, Mo., and Kayden D. Wafford, 18, Bluffton, were both driving south on Main Street in the inside southbound lane. Wafford attempted to pass Eskridge on the right at the same time Eskridge attempted to change lanes into the right southbound lane. The 2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eskridge was driving collided with the 2002 Buick Regal Wafford was driving. Following the collision, Eskridge continued south on Main Street — followed by Wafford — and parked in a parking space on Market Street near Marion Street. The two vehicles sustained more than $10,000.

Thursday, 2:51 p.m., U.S. 224 near 75E. Stubble fire. Uniondale and Ossian fire departments dispatched to put out the fire, which burned about a half an acre.
Thursday. 3:21 p.m., 200S just east of 300W. Tractor caught on fire. Liberty Township Fire Department dispatched to put out the fire.
Friday, 7:49 a.m., Gerry and Linda Houtz residence, 7918N-Ind. 1. Chimney fire. Ossian Fire Department dispatched. Fire contained to the chimney.
Friday, 12:08 p.m., Wings Etc., 657 N. Main St. Fire alarm. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched. No fire. Alarm tripped accidentally.
Friday, 1:39 p.m., Daniel Wood residence, 5913 N. Miller St., Uniondale. Grass fire. Uniondale Fire Department dispatched to put it out.
