The Wells County Chamber of Commerce welcomed the new owners of Parlor City Cabinetry with a Ribbon Cutting Celebration at 118 North Main Street in Bluffton. Nathan and John Stauffer recently purchased Parlor City Cabinetry from Leon Geiser after owning the business for 45 years.
John and Nathan Stauffer bought Parlor City Cabinetry in the fall of 2020. However, Nathan was still working full-time in education and as of July 2022 transitioned into running the business 100 percent. John stated that this new endeavor has been fun working alongside Leon and learning a lot about the business. “We have learned so much from Leon and appreciate his willingness to walk alongside and help with projects.”
The LLC for the business is named Plow & Owl investments based off their history in FFA. “Plow is a symbol of labor and Owl is a symbol of wisdom,” explained John. “Our belief is that we need to do the work and be able to have that wisdom to make decisions. Both Nathan and I try to be that energy and draw on the wisdom of Leon in the business.”
John and Nathan’s families have a passion for Wells County. Their families have embedded themselves in downtown remodeling and restoring a variety of buildings in Bluffton. Both families have moved to downtown remodeled apartments.
John and Nathan have been working hard remodeling Parlor City Cabinetry to allow customers to come in and see, feel, and experience what is offered. “We updated the showroom, put a fresh coat of paint on the walls, brought in cabinets, and installed a few models for display,” said Nathan.
Parlor City Cabinetry specializes in kitchen and bathroom remodels, and new builds. “We take pride in using cabinets made here in Indiana,” said Nathan. “We also install solid surfaces such as quartz, granite, and laminate. We work with customers directly or with contractors. Cash and carry options are also available. Our goal is to build relationships with every customer we meet.”
