Rickey Allen Jenkins, also known by his C.B. handle, “Rock N’ Roll”, passed away at his home in Uniondale, Indiana on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 5:36 a.m. at the age of 64.
Rick was born on June 12, 1958, in Fort Wayne. He was raised by his wonderful parents, Leo and Deanna (Engle) Bumgarner, and attended Norwell High School, from which he graduated in 1978. Rick was a long-time truck driver. He drove trucks all over the country, mostly for Wells County companies. He is fondly remembered as saying “I’ve driven more miles backwards than you’ll ever drive forwards”. He also would drive a cattle truck and farm with his brother. Rick enjoyed cooking and was quite good at it. His family will remember his love for car shows, the show Cops, and the love he had for his family.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Leo Bumgarner.
Loving survivors include his mother, Deanna Bumgarner of Uniondale, Ind.; sons, Chad (Lindsey) Jenkins of Uniondale, Ind., and Ben (Jordann) Jenkins of Ossian, sisters, Chris (Pat) Fox, and Dawn (Lee) Neuenschwander, brothers, Bruce (Kim) Bumgarner, Mike (Courtney) Jenkins, and Stan (Tonnie) Jenkins, 7 grandchildren, and special pup, Lily.
Per Rick’s wishes, there will be no scheduled funeral services. Friends and family who wish to make a memorial contribution can make them to: Wells County 4-H 1240 4 H Park Rd, Bluffton, IN 46714
Arrangements have been entrusted to Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Warren, Indiana.
