Pauline C. (Miller) Vick, 99, of Decatur, Ind., passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Adams Woodcrest. She was born in Decatur on July 22, 1923, the only child of the late Paul W. Miller and Esther E. (Lipp) Miller. 

She was a 1941 graduate of Ossian High School. She then went on to become a nurse and was an L.P.N. at Caylor Nickel Clinic in Bluffton for over 20 years. 

Pauline was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Decatur and had also been a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Bluffton. In her youth, she was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Preble Township in Allen County.

She loved books and was an avid reader and was a member of 4 book clubs: Great Books Group, Woodcrest Group, Shakespeare Club and Coterie. She was a past president of the Friends of the Decatur Public Library. 

Pauline is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Kevin Craig of Bloomington, Ind., and Sara and Ray Nugent of Williamsburg, Va., and a grandson and his wife, Christopher and Randy Craig of Rancho Mirage, Calif. 

She was preceded in death by her son, David P. Vick on March 22, 2021.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with calling two hours prior from 9-11 a.m. Pastor Samuel Padgett will officiate. Burial will immediately follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Ossian.
