Bluffton girls’ golf beats Mississinewa
Bluffton’s girls’ golf team beat host Mississinewa with a team score of 207. The Indians did not have enough players for a team score.
The medalist for the event was Mississinewa’s Ashtynn Brubaker with a 41.
Leading the way for the Lady Tigers was Lily King, who shot a 49, followed by Kennedy Nash (51), Emma Schwartz (52), Eve Corkwell (55), and Tressa Renner (62).
The JV squad also took the course, led by Leah Brown (57) and Averi Petty (69).
The Tigers will be back at Timber Ridge Golf Course for their Bi-County meet at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27
Norwell girls’ soccer falls to Leo
The Lady Knights soccer team lost 6-0 against Leo at home.
Leo put up four goals in the first half and netted the other two in the second.
The JV team also played and lost to Leo by a score of 2-1. Alaina Barnhart scored the lone goal for Norwell.
The next game will be at home against Columbia City at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, with the JV to start and the varsity to follow.
