Preliminary plea of not guilty entered for Danette M. Roloff, 41, Bluffton, charged with driving while suspended with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond continued at $1,500. Larry Mock appointed public defender.

While on patrol June 16, a Bluffton police officer decided to perform a license plate check of a vehicle ahead of him and discovered that the registered owner — Roloff — had a suspended driver’s license.

The officer followed the vehicle to Great Clips at the Interurban Mall and pulled in behind it.

Roloff reportedly has eight active suspensions against her driver’s license and two prior convictions for driving while suspended.

Preliminary plea of not guilty entered for Tasha N. Winkler, 36, Bluffton, charged with battery resulting in bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor. Released on her own recognizance. Larry Mock appointed public defender.

Winkler is charged with battering Sequoia Michelle Kennedy, 27, during an argument at the Miller Street address they share June 10. Kennedy has been charged with domestic battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old, a Level 6 felony, and battery resulting in bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor, stemming from the same incident.
