We had a very busy opening weekend at the pool, with daily attendance numbers between 360-450 per day. Crowds that size keeps our new employees hopping and working at a frantic pace to keep up. Not only that, but we are finding that there are still supply chain issues finding concessions in stock, so please bear with us this season. The good news is that now that summer is out, our 15-year-old concession employees are allowed to work at the ballpark until 9 p.m. Closing the stand at Roush Park at 7 p.m. each night during the school year to comply with the state teen labor law put a cramp in our style, to say the least.
Group swim lessons start this Monday for the kids who signed up a while back. If you missed sign-ups or if your child does better in a smaller setting, you might consider calling the pool at 824-1550 for private swim lessons. There are a variety of days and times available. One-on-one lessons cost $25 per ½ hour.
Teen/Adult lap swim kicked off this week at noon and is an excellent opportunity to swim laps or water walk during the day. The pool is open Monday, Wednesday, & Friday from 12-12:50 for only $2. Punch cards are available at the pool and will save you $5 over ten visits!

Bring your own shaving cream, sunglasses or goggles, and a towel. We recommend wearing your swimsuit so that you can rinse off afterward. Seniors, you will want to mark your calendar for the next Theater Thursday on June 16. Stop by the Wells County Public Library at 10 a.m. for the movie “Jungle Cruise,” rated PG13. Snacks are provided.

Congratulations to the Tim Zeis family for solving the Murder Mystery Clue Game! They discovered that our newest maintenance worker, Jonah, used a hammer at Washington Park to stop Mrs. Mary Mischief from littering. We will send Jonah back to training so something like this doesn’t happen again, but in the meantime, be sure not to litter in the parks!
Have a great week!
