The area Master Gardener’s are presenting their 2022 Garden Walk on Saturday, June 25, from noon to 4 p.m. (Rain date is Sunday, June 26.) A $5 ticket will allow visitors to tour four homes including the home of Steve and Julie Harvey, pictured here.
Others on the walk will be: Bob and Daphnie Dahl, 2598 E. Maple Dr. (North Oaks); Javon Steffen, 228 East Dustman Rd. and Bob and Amy Greiner, the next door neighbors to the Harveys. The Harveys and Greiners share a driveway off of St. Rd. 116.
Several of the trees at the Steve and Julie Harvey property, 4344 SE St. Rd. 116, Bluffton will have small painted doors at their roots. (Visitors can imagine who the dwellers are.) Also rocks, like the one at right in the photo and painted by former art teacher Julie, are scattered throughout their garden areas.
Featured in the Harvey garden will be bird houses decorated by Julie. Visitors might be tempted to sit a spell at one of the garden areas featuring small red cafe tables and chairs.
Another inviting area at the Harvey’s is their back patio that includes a firepit, at the left, as well as plenty of bird feeders. The gardens may be visited in any order. (Photos by Barbara Barbieri)
