Karla Fritts, the assistant superintendent of the Bluffton Parks and Recreation Department, places a work of art on the pedestrian bridge over the Wabash River under the watchful eye of Kathy Gehrett Wednesday afternoon. Actually, the piece in question was being put in place a second time; Gehrett created it and it was put up backwards, so Fritts remedied the problem for her. The department has sought donations for its yarn bombing project for several years. This year the Bluffton Park Department’s annual Yarn Bomb will be visible at the pedestrian bridge that crosses the Wabash River beside the Bluffton bridge.

Those creating the panels included Kathy Gehrett, Mary Ellen McEvoy, Julie McCray, Angie Beer (Bluffton block), Jeannine Engle, Scherry P. Cox, Tori Thrasher, Joy Hann, Martha Reinhard, Athena Dedrick, Twyla Bice, Vicki Cale, Joyce Gehring, Marlene Hoopengardner, Patricia Wade, Molly Bauer (Welcome to Bluffton block) and Joyce Koroma.
