Ramsay R. Brewer, 37, listed as homeless, pleaded guilty to intimidation, a Level 6 felony.
Sentenced to 180 days in prison. Ordered to pay $185 in court costs.
Credited for six days spent in confinement awaiting disposition of his case.
On May 13, Bluffton police were requested at Praxis substance abuse treatment facility at 1529 W. Lancaster St., on a report that Brewer had threatened an employee of the facility with a fork. The employee was reportedly trying to break up an altercation between Brewer and another patient at the facility.

Preliminary plea of not guilty entered for Paige L. Sills, 24, Decatur, charged with driving while suspended with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Class A misdemeanor. Sills was released on her own recognizance.
While patrolling Spring Street at Main Street May 15, a Bluffton police officer observed a vehicle without its headlights on. The officer flashed the headlights of his patrol vehicle twice to get the driver of the other vehicle to turn on the vehicle’s headlights.
The vehicle’s lights remained off.
The officer then followed it north on Main Street and pulled it over at Wiley Avenue. The driver was identified as Sills.
A license check on her showed that she had a previous driving while suspended conviction in Wells Superior Court May 9, 2016, and her license was suspended until Dec. 31, 2024.
She also had an active warrant for her arrest out of Shelby County for failure to appear in court.

Preliminary plea of not guilty entered for Fernando J. Heredia, 48, Fort Wayne, charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor; no valid driver’s license in his possession, a Class C infraction; and driving left of center, a Class C infraction. Bond continued at $1,500 surety only. Larry Mock appointed public defender.
An off-duty Ossian police officer noticed a vehicle ahead of her was weaving within its lane and also crossing the center line while southbound on Ind. 1 from Yoder Road May 14. The officer contacted an on-duty Ossian officer. The vehicle pulled into the parking lot of Ossian Health & Rehabilitation, and the driver, later identified as Heredia, exited the vehicle and walked into the facility. While he was signing the guest book, the on-duty officer asked to speak with him.
The investigating officer noted in his report to the court that Heredia appeared unsteady, smelled of alcohol, failed field sobriety tests and blew a .252 percent alcohol concentration on a Breathalyzer test, more than three times Indiana’s legal limit for intoxication of .08 percent.

Tatiana Janae Royal, 27, Bluffton, violated probation by being charged in Allen County with operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor, and for failing to notify her probation officer of her contact with law enforcement,
Ordered to serve 120 days in the Wells County Jail. Credited for 12 days spent in confinement awaiting disposition of his case. Ordered to pay $320 in fees.
Upon completion of her sentence, her probation will terminate.
Royal was originally sentenced July 2, 2020, on one count of possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor.

Jacob Mj Schwartz, 48, rural Bluffton, pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a traffic accident, a Class B misdemeanor.
Sentenced to 180 days in the Wells County Jail, with all but 10 days suspended — credited as times served, and placed on probation for 355 days.
Ordered to pay court costs and probation fees.
One count of driving while suspended, a Class A infraction, was dismissed.
On Sept. 22, 2021, a sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on 1100S near 500E where a vehicle reportedly left the road, hit an unoccupied house, and then left the scene.
A search of the area by a second deputy turned up a wrecked GMC Yukon on 500E between 850S and 900S. Vehicle parts that matched one missing on the Yukon were found at the scene of the accident and parts of the garage that was hit were reportedly found on the sport utility vehicle.
By speaking to two of Schwartz’s relatives, the investigating deputy determined that Schwartz was the driver of the vehicle.

Michael Brendon Adams, 22, Fort Wayne, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor.
Sentenced to a year in the Wells County Jail, with all but two days suspended — credited as time served , and placed on probation for 363 days.
Ordered to pay the costs of his blood test, court costs and probation fees.
As part of a plea agreement, charges of operating a vehicle with a Schedule I or II controlled substance or its metabolite in his body, a Class C misdemeanor; speeding, a Class C infraction; and driving left of center, a Class C infraction were all dismissed.
While on patrol May 7, 2021, a sheriff’s deputy was northbound on 450E near 1000N when he saw a 2013 Cadillac ahead of him driving down the center of the road and travelling at 55 mph-45 zone. He pulled it over.
The deputy noted in his report to the court that Adams, the driver, admitted to both speeding and driving left of center. He also observed that the interior of the vehicle smelled of burned marijuana.
The deputy performed field sobriety tests on Adams. Meanwhile, his passenger reportedly told an Ossian police officer who had arrived at the traffic stop to back up the sheriff’s deputy that he, the passenger, had smoked marijuana and could not drive the car.
The results of a toxicology test allegedly showed the presence of THC in Adams’ blood.

Jadon D. Agler, 18, rural Berne, sentenced April 21 on one count of theft, ordered to pay his victim restitution of $200.

Paul M. Camp, 42, Markle, pleaded guilty to driving while suspended with a prior conviction, a Class A misdemeanor.
Ordered to serve one year in the Wells County Jail, all suspended, and placed on probation for one year.
Ordered to pay court costs and probation fees. His probation will terminate early once he obtains valid driving privileges and pay all fees and costs.
While attempting serve a Huntington County arrest warrant on Camp Oct. 9, 2020, a Markle police officer saw Camp driving a Pontiac Bonneville.
He had a prior conviction in Jay County for driving while suspended with eligibility reinstatement date of Nov. 29.

Torii Rae Jackson, 19, Fort Wayne, charged with possession of a Schedule I, II, III, or IV controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, entered into a conditional discharge.
The duration of the deferred proceedings is one year. If she follows the directives of the Wells County Probation Department during that period, then upon its completion the charge against her will be dismissed.
Ordered to pay $100.
On Oct. 9, 2021, while performing a house search at the request of the Wells County Probation Department, a sheriff’s deputy reportedly located a vape cartridge labeled for Muha Meds along with empty boxes also labeled for Muha Meds, which is reportedly a THC product. THC is the active ingredient in marijuana.
During a sweep of the residence and an adjacent out building, which housed several people, officers and deputies allegedly found nine glass smoking pipes, four bongs, marijuana seeds, 20 grams of marijuana, THC wax, a THC cartridge and eight pills for a prescription medication of which reportedly none of the occupants of the house had a prescription.

Leith Booher, 45, Geneva, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Class A misdemeanor, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident, a Class B misdemeanor.
Sentenced to 60 days in the Wells County Jail. Assessed court costs of $185 and a drug interdiction fee of $200.
On Jan. 19, police received a report of a vehicle that appeared to be trying to hide behind the Les Gerber Insurance building on North Main Street. The vehicle matched the description of a vehicle seen by witnesses leaving the scene of a minor traffic accident in front of the Market Street Dollar General Store.
A state trooper spotted the vehicle and pulled in behind it. The trooper identified the driver as Booher and asked him and his female passenger why they appeared to be trying to hide behind the insurance building. Booher allegedly replied they were there to buy insurance. At this point, other law enforcement officers arrived at the scene.
Both allegedly admitted to having been at the Market Street Dollar General Store earlier, but neither reportedly would admit that the vehicle had been involved in a traffic crash. Neither possessed a valid Indiana driver’s license.
The trooper used his K-9 partner, “Buck,” to search the vehicle for illegal substances. Buck reportedly pinpointed an area under the steering wheel of the vehicle where the trooper allegedly found a red bandana containing a small plastic bag of a green leafy plant material with the odor and appearance of marijuana and a cigar that appeared to contain marijuana stuffed inside.
Booher had a prior conviction Jan. 18, 2017, in Adams Superior Court, for leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
