Monday, 2:48 p.m., residence in the 400 block of West Wabash Street. Loud verbal altercation between a husband and wife. Officers responded. Situation calmed, parties separated.
Monday, 6:02 p.m., Outdoor Concepts, 2275N-Main St. Caller reported while his Dodge Ram pickup truck was at the business, it sustained damage to a window
Monday, 8:51 p.m., residence in the 200 block of East South Street. Sheriff’s deputy arrested Marshall Dillon Smith, of that address, on a warrant for three counts of possession of methamphetamine, all Level 6 felonies. Bond was set at $15,000.

Monday, 2:55 p.m., burglar alarm, Sonlight Wesleyan Church, 2350S-Ind. 1. Deputies responded. No sign of foul play found.
Monday, 3:59 p.m., residence in the 100 block of East Morse Street, Markle. Deputy arrested Daniel Allen Brown, 32, Markle, on a warrant for violating probation. No bond set.
Tuesday, 3:29 p.m., Silo Farms resident reported her identity was stolen by someone in Louisiana who used the information to open a fraudulent cable television account. The person ran up a delinquent bill of $259.
Ossian:
Tuesday, 12:12 a.m., sheriff’s deputy located a man out mowing grass at the former TK manufactured housing demonstrator home site at the corner of Jefferson Street and Industrial Parkway. The man told the deputy he had just gotten home and had the energy so he thought he was go out and mow his grass since he now owned the former show home. An Ossian police officer explained to the man about the 10 p.m. curfew in town for mowing.
ACCIDENTS
County:
Monday, 6:31 a.m., 200E near 700S. Joseph L. Durham, 50, rural Keystone, hit a deer with his 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. Damage to the car exceeded $10,000.
Monday, 12:31 p.m., 300N at the Norfolk Southern railroad crossing. Eduardo V. Malagon, 19, Fort Wayne, was driving a 2013 Infiniti G37 west on 300N. He fell asleep at the wheel and his car veered across the center line entered the south side ditch, slammed into the railroad crossing gate and the impact made the vehicle spin around 180 degrees where it came to rest in the ditch facing eastbound. Total damage exceeded $25,000. Malagon was not injured.
Monday, 2:25 p.m., Meridian Road near 300S. Ricky Capps, age and address not listed, reported he was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck south on Meridian Road when a northbound grain hauling semi kicked up a stone that struck and cracked the pickup truck’s windshield. Capps then followed the semi driver to the Valero ethanol plant. A sheriff’s deputy took note of the incident but because the damage was less than $1,000, did not complete an accident report. The investigating deputy and a second deputy spoke with the semi driver.
Monday, 2:50 p.m., parking lot of Norwell High School. Ethan Plasterer, 17, rural Ossian, exited a parking space in a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado and collided with a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Gracyn Clark, 18, rural Ossian. Damage exceeded $1,000.
Tuesday, 4:10 p.m., Ind. 1 near 550S. The weather conditions at the time were high winds and heavy rain. Katelyn Farris, 31, Bluffton, was northbound in a 2017 Nissan Murano when parts off the trailer of an oncoming grain hauling semi blew off the trailer and crashed into the front of the Murano causing more than $10,000 damage to the car. Farris was not injured.
FIRE RUNS
Tuesday, 4:41 p.m., Anthony and Regina Baumgartner residence, 0824E-550N. Residential smoke detector alarm called in by alarm company. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched. No sign of any fire found in the residence.
ARRESTS
Hunter Logan Clark, 22, Spencerville; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor; driving while suspended with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Class A misdemeanor; operating a motor vehicle without insurance with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Class C misdemeanor. Clark was released from custody on his own recognizance.
