The Fort Wayne Philharmonic has announced the schedule of its summer Patriotic Pops concerts — and Wells County is not one of the five sites.

The concert has been offered at Ouabache State Park dating back to at least 2001, Property Manager Jon Winne said.

This year, however, the orchestra will look to do other programs in the Bluffton area. “We will be looking at bringing ensembles, doing different types of programs,” Emily Shannon, the Philharmonic’s director of marketing and public relations, said Wednesday.

While no concerts will be held in Wells County, the Patriotic Pops concert will be offered at other sites in the area. They include:

• DeKalb Outdoor Theatre in Auburn: Friday, June 24, 7:30 p.m., free.

• Oakwood Resort in Syracuse: Sunday, June 26, 7:30 p.m., free.

• Pokagon State Park in Angola: Thursday, June 30, free.

• Parkview Field in Fort Wayne: Sunday, July 3, 8:30 p.m., free, with Andrew Constantine conducting.

• Bixler Lake Park in Kendallville: Monday, July 4, 8:30 p.m., free.

Those planning to attend should bring their own seating, except for the Parkview Field site. Caleb Young will conduct the orchestra at the sites except Parkview Field as listed.
