Thursday, 4:29 p.m., Expert Transmission, 2883E-Ind. 124. License plate stolen from a vehicle.

Thursday, 5:35 p.m., residence in the 200 block of West Silver Street. Report of two people fighting. Officers responded. No one arrested.

Thursday, 9:10 p.m., Save-On Liquor North, 605 N. Main St. Report of a an intoxicated man in the store. Officers responded. The man was given a courtesy ride to his residence and was also informed not to return to pick up his vehicle until he was sober.

County:

Thursday, 5:08 p.m., Ind. 218 near Ind. 1 in Reiffsburg. Wells County EMS, Bluffton Fire Department first responders and Wells County EMS responded to a report of a man passed out at the steering wheel of a vehicle parked alongside the road. Turned out the man was sleeping and did not have a medical issue.

Thursday, 8:30 p.m., residence on 400N west of 200W. Caller reported that his brother had been sleeping in a pickup truck on the caller’s property and he wanted him removed.

FIRE RUNS

Friday, 2 a.m., 707 Eastmoor Drive. Carbon monoxide detector alarm sounding. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched. No carbon monoxide detected by firefighters. Batteries were replaced in the home detector.

Friday, 1:42 p.m., John and Amy Stauffer residence, 3584NW-Ind. 116, Markle. Top of large tree on fire. Markle Fire Department dispatched and took about 15 minutes to douse the fire.

ARRESTS

Joshua Douglas Winters, 27, rural Ossian; driving while suspended, a Class A misdemeanor.
