Friday, 5:08 p.m., residence in the 700 block of Clark Ave. Caller reported theft of iPad from vehicle two days earlier.
Friday, 7:21 p.m., Praxis, 1529 W. Lancaster St. Report of a man trying to admit himself but was intoxicated. The man was transported to Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
Friday, 7:41 p.m., residence in the 700 block of Clark Avenue. Verbal altercation between siblings. Officer responded. Situation calmed.
Friday, 9:54 p.m., Bluffton Regional Medical Center emergency room. Officers requested on a report of a man being disruptive in the emergency room. Roy Grayston Thomas, Gas City, was arrested on a warrant out of Grant County for violating probation from an Oct. 16, 2021, conviction in Grant Superior Court for possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony.
Friday, 11:48 p.m., CVS Pharmacy, 1203 S. Main St. Burglar alarm. Officers responded. No sign of foul play found.
Saturday, 12:57 a.m., Main Street at Capri Court. Bluffton police officer pulled over a vehicle and arrested Ya Sin, Fort Wayne, on charges of possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; operating a vehicle with a Schedule I or II controlled substance or its metabolite in his body, a Class C misdemeanor; and no or improper license plate light and/or taillights, a Class C infraction.
Saturday, 2:57 a.m., residence in the 300 block of West Cherry Street. Caller reported hearing suspicious banging outside of her residence. Officer checked the area but did not see or hear anything.
Saturday, 8:18 a.m., Star Engineering, 1717 W. Lancaster St. Burglar alarm. Officer responded. Employee accidentally tripped the alarm.
Saturday, 11:48 a.m., Capri Meadows apartments. Officers responded to a report of a loud verbal altercation between a man and a woman. Situation calmed.
Saturday, 12:05 p.m., Pak-A-Sak convenience store, 204 W. Wabash St. Female caller reported a female acquaintance threw bleach on her clothing and threw water in the caller’s face and then left. Officer responded. The female caller decided not to pursue the matter further.
Sunday, 12:18 a.m., Capri Meadows apartments. Report of a loud verbal altercation between a man and a woman. Officers responded. Situation calmed, parties separated, no one arrested.
Sunday, 4:53 p.m., residence in the 200 block of North Main Street. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle was parked in his driveway preventing him from leaving. Officer responded. The driver of the suspicious vehicle showed up and explained he pulled into the driveway after the vehicle ran out of gas.
Sunday, 10:05 p.m., person calling from the Wabash Street Pak-A-Sak convenience store explained he was stuck in Bluffton after he left the Praxis drug and alcohol abuse rehabilitation center and was trying to get back to Indianapolis. Officer responded and put the man in touch with the Salvation Army who got him a room and some food for the night.
Monday, 7:02 a.m., residence iin the 1000 block of Granary Court, Greenfield Farms subdivision. Report of a dark-colored minivan parked outside of the caller’s residence. Officer dispatched but the van left before the officer’s arrival.
Monday, 8:57 a.m., Home Court Home Health Care, 124 Oak Forest Drive. Officer building damaged by a dumpster truck over the weekend.

Friday, 3:35 p.m., Midway Street at Cherry Street. Christian N. Poling, 25, Bluffton, was westbound on Cherry Street in a 2007 Saturn Aura. He stopped at Midway, but thought the intersection was a four-way stop, and drove into the path of a northbound 2000 Buick Park Avenue driven by Stanley J. Bales, 62, rural Montpelier. No one was injured. Damage exceeded $10,000.
