The Wells County Public Library is running its “Go for the Gold” winter reading challenge during the month of February.

Wells County Public Library staff members Susan Dailey, Kara Raschick, Teresa Dustman, and Angela Pfister, left to right, are pictured with two of the prize baskets that can be won as part of the library’s Winter Reading challenge. Participants can track everything from home on their computers at wellscolibrary.readsquared.com, via the READsquared App on a mobile device, or by visiting the library branches in Bluffton or Ossian to get started. The library’s goal is to donate more books to hospitalized children through the Kate’s Kart organization.

The challenge is open to all ages and everyone who signs up receives a piece of candy. Those who read at least 300 pages will get a coupon for a free mini-Blizzard from Dairy Queen (while supplies last) and be eligible for a prize basket.

If all participants can read the number of pages listed in the chart below, the library will donate books to the Kate’s Kart program at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center. The numbers are as follows:

• 50,000 pages read — 25 books

• 100,000 pages read — 50 books

• 200,000 pages read —75 books

• 300,000 pages read — 100 books

• 400,000+ pages read — 125 books

Those interested in participating can sign up at the library, online at wellscolibrary.readsquared.com, or via the READsquared app.

For more information, contact the library at 260-824-1612.

The winter reading challenge is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the Bluffton Dairy Queen.
