
Anne M. Baumgartner, 91, of Bluffton, passed away Sunday evening, Sept. 13, 2026, at Christian Care Retirement Community.
Anne was born in Adams County on July 19, 1935, to Samuel and Elma (Dubach) Kaehr. She married Harold “Bummie” E. Baumgartner in Adams County on May 11, 1958. He preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1994.
A 1953 graduate of Berne French High School, Anne worked at Caylor-Nickel Clinic in Bluffton as a lab technician for over five years. She spent the next 50 years working alongside her husband, co-owning and operating Bummie’s B&K Root Beer Stand in Bluffton and was a devoted housewife during those years as well. She was also a long-time member of the Apostolic Christian Church.
Survivors include three sons, Tom (Lorie) Baumgartner, Tim (Carla) Baumgartner and Phil (Tina) Baumgartner, all of Bluffton; six grandchildren, Clint (Shelby) Baumgartner, Eric (Country) Baumgartner, Aaron (Sara) Baumgartner, Adam Baumgartner, Sara Baumgartner (fiancé Alex McCutcheon) and Emma Baumgartner; and a great-granddaughter, Piper.
In addition to her husband and parents, Anne was preceded in death by four brothers, Roger “Bud” Kaehr, Robert Kaehr, Charles “Chad” Kaehr and Phil Kaehr; and two sisters, Beulah Clark and Bonnie Gerber.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, from 1 until 7 p.m., at Goodwin – Harnish Funeral Home in Bluffton. Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 18, at 10:30 a.m., at the Apostolic Christian Church East, with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church. Lynn Fiechter and Dan Pfister will officiate. Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Adams County.
