Lois Mae Neuenschwander, 95, of Ossian passed on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026.
She was born Oct. 4, 1931, in Mt. Sterling, Ohio to the late Ivan and Marjorie (Todd) Wade. She married Arthur Neuenschwander on June 21, 1952 in Dublin, Ohio; Dr. Neuenschwander died in 2008.
Lois graduated from Dublin High School. She received a Bachelor of Science in education from Ohio State University and a Master of Science in education from St. Francis College. She taught math for 20.5 years at Bishop Luers High School.
Lois was an active member of Ossian Presbyterian Church, a member of the Jefferson Township Extension Homemakers Club, and the Younger than Some Red Hats.
She is survived by her sons, Tom (Laura) Neuenschwander and Lee (Dawn) Neuenschwander both of Ossian; grandchildren, Shawn (Katrina) Neuenschwander, Brandon (Krista) Neuenschwander, Jonathon (Nicole) Neuenschwander, Angela (Nick) Hulvey and Kristen (Charles) Leffel; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026 at Ossian Presbyterian Church, 123 South Jefferson St. in Ossian, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St. in Ossian. Burial to follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
