I still am way to busy! It seems that you take a few days off and then you are way behind. Daughter Robin and I spent those few days with our son Jonathan and his family near Detroit.
When we visit there Jonathan likes to take us to different restaurants. He cooks our breakfast before we leave the house.
We enjoyed seeing pictures of the family’s trip to Hungary and Spain. They traveled recently when Maxon was doing fencing.
Jonathan’s wife Sarah and the other kids, Arlo, Millie and Ansel, went for the first trip with Jonathan meeting them in Spain.
This is sort of an exchange program like we did with the Lions Clubs. We had 17 exchange students over the years and still some of them keep in touch.
Of course Jonathan wouldn’t be one of our sons without loving cars! We spent an afternoon at an area called Woodward where there just happened to be a 20 mile cruise! (My husband Kenny would have loved this.) We drove the 20 miles right along and beside regular and car show cars with about three lanes on each side of the street. We went one way and then in 20 miles turned around and went back the other 20. Thousand of people lined the street to watch and at times along the side there would be a car show setting!
We also attended one of granddaughter Millie’s soccer games.
Back home we attended a football game at South Adams with the Bluffton Tigers taking on the Blackhawk Christian team. Our grandson Brice Bennett coaches the Blackhawk team that he started just last season. He now has 11 men of which Gage and Chip are his sons. Another son Orion helps out the team looking forward to playing in a few years. Of course the Tigers won with a score of 39 to 6. Brice looks forward to building a larger team and winning games. Bluffton coach Kunkel shared the improvement the Braves have made has been monumental.
