Today is the Wells Community Pool summer swim lesson sign-up day. Classes are offered for ages 2 and up. Stop by the City Hall (128 E Market) foyer between 9 and 11 a.m. If you cannot stop by, please call the park office starting Monday at 824-6069 to take any remaining openings.
Next week, we’re thrilled to bring your young ones the free Animal Tracks Matching Game. This unique educational scavenger hunt, running from May 1 to 31, will have them searching for pictures of animals and then matching them to their tracks. Keep a record of which park you found each animal and its tracks in. Here’s the twist: the animal will be in a different location than its tracks, and some parks may have up to two pictures hidden. Once they have been successfully located and matched to all the animals, submit your form by May 31 to the Bluffton Parks Department office on the 2nd floor of the City Hall Building (128 E. Market) for a chance to win a prize. You can download the Animal Tracks Matching Game form at https://tinyurl.com/ms3kx8yy or pick up a form from the Parks Department office. Happy hunting!

We had a great turnout for the winter walking challenge, so we are going to continue with a Summer Miles Challenge. Stay motivated by selecting to either run or walk 100 miles or bike 250 or 500 miles. The challenge will run from June 1 to Aug. 31. We will have separate Strava groups for walk/run and bike participants. You can also use our mileage log to track your miles manually. Everyone gets a cool shirt, and Medals will be awarded to everyone who finishes their challenge.
What counts??? Miles that you INTENTIONALLY walk, run, or bike from point A to point B to cover a distance. The idea is to move more than your normal steps around the house or work.
