Bluffton and Norwell competed at the boys’ swimming sectional preliminaries deep into Thursday night.
To advance to Saturday’s championship events, an individual event must place in the top 16, with the top eight going into the finals round. Team events are the top eight only.
Due to weather conditions, the sectional championships at Jay County have been moved back. The diving will start at approximately 1:15 p.m., and are shooting for a 4 p.m. event starting time.
Norwell is going for its second-straight title, while Bluffton is seeking its first in school history.
There were plenty of first seeds to give out between the Knights and Tigers. A total of four events and two relays.

Bluffton
• Noah Brooks, Dalton Rodgers, Elija Robles and Isaac Wheeler first in the 200-yard medley relay.
• Ashton Arnett fourth, Jackson Meyer seventh and Graaham Linderwell eighth in the 200-yard freestyle.
• Wheeler second, Rodgers seventh and Braden Lemler ninth in the 200-yard IM.
• Wes Frettinger fourth, Athan King fifth and Lincoln Rodgers 14th in the 50-yard freestyle.
• Wheeler first, Arnett fourth and Lemler 10th in the 100-yard butterfly.
• Brooks second, Rhett Gerber sixth and Frettinger 13th in the 100-yard freestyle.
• Griffin Linderwell second, Jackson Meyer sixth and Graham Linderwell eighth in the 500-yard freestyle.
• King, Robles, Frettinger and Griffin Linderwell fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

• Colten Strunk seventh and Braden Hoag 12th in the 100-yard butterfly.
