A Bluffton man received a 12-year prison sentence this week in Wells Circuit Court.
Joshua M. Sergent, 35, pleaded guilty to dealing in methamphetamine, a Level 4 felony.
Judge Chad E. Kukelhan, acting as special judge in the case in Wells Circuit Court, suspended two years of the 12-year sentence and ordered Sergent to serve two years of probation. Sergent was also ordered to submit a DNA sample, pay a $250 drug interdiction fee, reimburse the DETECT Drug Task Force $128 and pay court costs and probation fees.
The term of the sentence is to be served concurrently to a sentence to be meted in Adams Circuit Court on one count of dealing in methamphetamine, also a Level 4 felony.
Sergent was charged with selling methamphetamine and marijuana to a cooperating individual with the drug task force in November of 2021.
