Quinton Gage Howard, 18, Warren, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor.
Sentenced to 60 days in the Wells County Jail, assessed a $200 drug interdiction fee and pay court costs of $185
Howard was the passenger in a vehicle that hit a sheriff’s detective from behind as the detective was stopped in a line of traffic waiting for a train to clear at the Norfolk Southern Railway crossing Oct. 30.
Reportedly in plain view following the crash, the investigating officer spotted a “fist-sized” bag of green plant material that had the odor and appearance of marijuana inside the vehicle. The bag was later weighed and reportedly contained 25.34 grams of the material.

Preliminary plea of not guilty entered for Roger Lee Fox II, 19, Bluffton, charged with resisting law enforcement by using a vehicle, a Level 6 felony. Bond continued at $5,000. Larry Mock appointed public defender.
On Nov. 4, Fox was at the Well;s County Courthouse on an unrelated matter when he was informed by courthouse security staff members that he could not leave the building because there was an active warrant for his arrest on another matter. He was told to remain in the building until law enforcement could arrive and place him under arrest.
Allegedly Fox ignored the admonition to not exit the building and ran out, got on a bicycle, and pedaled quickly away.
Within minutes he was spotted by a Bluffton police officer — apparently just as Fox saw the officer. Reportedly Fox tried to elude capture by riding the bicycle through yards between houses.
However at this point multiple law enforcement officers were converging on the area, cutting off all routes of escape. Fox was apprehended without further incident near his mother’s house on Oak Street.
