Friday, 3:15 p.m., residence in the 1000 block of West Washington Street. Caller reported he loaned his 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck to a male acquaintance and the man was not returning it and was not answering his phone.

Friday, 4:10 p.m., Walmart Supercenter, 2100 N. Main St. Officers and deputies served a warrant for arrest on Trey Allen O’Reilly, 22, rural Bluffton, on one count of probation violation. No bond set.

Friday, 5:31 p.m., Wells County Public Library, 200 W. Washington Street. Report of a verbal confrontation between a woman and several juveniles outside of the library. Officers responded. Juveniles had left. The woman was asked to not to return to the library the rest of the evening. She was also warned for disorderly conduct.

Friday, 7:50 p.m., residence in the 100 block of West Wiley Avenue. Report of a boy and a girl walking through yards and up onto the porches of several houses. Officer responded but the two were gone.

Friday, 8:37 p.m., Airplane Express convenience store, 407 N. Main St. Officers and sheriff’s deputies broke up an alleged drug deal in the parking lot on the south side of the business and arrested Juanzerrez K. Dominguez, 22, Fort Wayne on drug charges. Kasey Lee Codling, 22, Fort Wayne, were both arrested for dealing in cocaine or some other narcotic drug. Level 2 felony , bond set for each is set at $30,000. 

Saturday, 1:38 a.m., Dustman Road at Toll Circle. Officer pulled over a vehicle for erratic driving. The officer noted in her report to the court that the driver, identified as Trey Daniel Redner, 29, Huntington, smelled of alcohol, failed field sobriety tests and blew a .151 percent alcohol concentration equivalency on a certified breath test conducted at the Wells County Jail. He was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalency of .15 percent or more and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, both Class A misdemeanors, and unlawful stopping, standing or parking of a vehicle and open alcoholic beverage container during operation of a motor vehicle, both Class C infractions. Bond set at $1,500. Bonded. 

Saturday, 2:45 a.m., NAPA Auto Parts, 643 N. Main St. Burglar alarm. Officers responded. Alarm tripped by a delivery driver.

Saturday, 2:54 a.m., 700 block of Kathryn Circle, Maple Grove Estates mobile home park. Report of a man speaking only Spanish approached the caller and was trying to communicate that something was wrong, but the caller could not understand the man. Officers responded. The man, who was reportedly highly intoxicated, needed help finding his way back to his residence, which was a block away.

Saturday, 5:26 a.m., residence in the 1700 block of Hoosier Highway. Officers were asked to investigate a fraud case.

Saturday, 10:38 a.m., residence in the 200 block of East Central Avenue. Someone stole four children’s bicycles out of the driveway of the residence.

Saturday, 3:28 p.m., residence in the 700 block of Clark Avenue. Caller reported two juveniles arguing and a male juvenile battered his mother. Officers responded. The male was transported to Parkview.

Saturday, 6:15 p.m., Washington Park, 710 S. Mulberry Street. Report of an adult male harassing children at the park. Information taken for a report.

Saturday, 6:44 p.m., residence in the 300 block of West Wabash Street. Caller discovered the knob on the back door of the residence had been damaged as if someone had tried to enter the house through that door.

Saturday, 7:26 p.m., apartment in the 400 block of West Wabash Street. Report of two juveniles threatening a third juvenile. Officer responded.

Saturday, 9:37 p.m., Beth Avenue at Wiley Avenue. Report of bike-riding juveniles arguing loudly with the driver of a vehicle. Officer responded. Parties had separated.

Sunday, 12:25 a.m., residence in the 100 block of West South Street. Caller reported a man trying to break into her house. Officers responded. Turned out the man was an acquaintance of the caller’s roommate and was given permission to be at the residence.

Sunday, 12:50 a.m., residence in the 600 block of West Ohio Street. Loud verbal altercation between a man and a woman. Officers responded. Parties were separated. Information taken for a report.

Sunday, 3:49 a.m., 200 block of East Market Street. A couple people yelling at each other outside. Officers responded. Situation calmed. Both parties warned for disorderly conduct.

Sunday, 3:54 a.m., Bluffton Regional Medical Center, 303 S. Main St. Report of a irate intoxicated patient in the emergency room. Officers responded. Situation calmed.

Sunday, 7:04 p.m., Roush Park, 925 W. Silver Street. Officers spoke with several motorcycle riders for racing their motorcycles in the park.

Sunday, 7:07 p.m., residence in the 700 block of South Jersey Street. Caller reported that a white male in a black hooded sweatshirt ran through her yard, tripped, sailed headlong into the side of a quarter panel on her car, dented the car with his head, and then took off running.

Monday, 9:50 a.m., residence in the 300 block of South Union Street. Man and a woman arguing loudly. Officers responded. Situation calmed. Parties separated.

Monday, 11:04 a.m., residence in the 200 block of North Oak Street. Officers asked to contact a woman at the residence and find out why her car has been abandoned in New Buffalo, Mich., since May. The woman had moved to Portland.

Monday, 12:36 p.m., Kroger’s grocery store, 1555 S. Harrison Plaza. Officers, Bluffton Fire Department first responders and Wells County EMS dispatched on a report of a 60-year-old female suffering chest pain at the north entrance to the store.

Sunday 10:54 p.m., Silo Farms 1108 N. State Rd. 1, woman reported that her ex-boyfriend broke out a window of her residence, and fired a gun in the air and into the ground. Multiple officers responded. Her boyfriend had left before they arrived. Officers found nine shell casings at the scene. No one was injured. The incident remains under investigation. ACCIDENTS

Saturday, 11:53 a.m., Main Street at Division Road. Majd K. Bader, 29, Chicago, Ill., was turning left from Division Road onto Main Street at the traffic light in a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia semi registered to Jana Trucking of Dearborn, Mich. David L. Barcus, 52, rural Poneto, was stopped in the inside northbound lane of Main Street in a 1986 Chevrolet Camaro. He tried backing up the car to allow the long semi to make its turn but could not get backed up in time before the wheels of the semi trailer’s tandem axles drove up and over the front end of the Camaro, smashing it and rendering it undriveable. Total damage exceeded $5,000.

Sunday, 3:24 p.m., Walmart Supercenter parking lot, 2100 N. Main St. Jeffrey Hoffmeier, 69, rural Ossian, backed a 2019 RAM 1500 pickup truck into a parking space and backed just a little too far. The trailer hitch of the pickup truck connected with the front of a parked 2014 Dodge Charger, the registered owner of which was not listed on the accident report. Damage exceeded $1,000.
