The Bluffton Tigers lost both games in Saturday’s doubleheader against Oak Hill.

Both games were radically different as Bluffton fell 2-1 in the first and then 23-10 in the second.

The Tigers (3-3) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning of game 1 and held that through four innings. Then in the fifth, Oak Hill’s Drew Wagner drove in two runs to give his team the lead and eventually the win.

Wagner’s triple was the only hit the Golden Eagles could muster in the game, while the Tigers had just two hits.

Kayden King suffered the loss for Bluffton, pitching all seven innings and striking our 12 while walking four. He also scored the Tigers’ only run in the game.

In the second game, Oak Hill’s bats heated up for 21 total hits. The Golden Eagles got to work right away, taking an 8-0 lead after two innings.

Oak Hill added another two runs in the third while Bluffton added its first to make a 10-1 game. Both sides added two runs in each of the next three innings to make the score 16-7 after six innings.

Oak Hill ended the day with a seven-run seventh, while Bluffton added just three more.

The Tigers take the diamond again on Wednesday at Canterbury.
