St. Luke Church in Adams County, seven miles east of Bluffton on Adams County Road 100N (Dustman Road), broke ground March 6 for its new building and expansion project. Pictured at left holding the shovels are Carol Schammerloh of Bluffton, whose great-great-grandfather was the church’s founding pastor in 1857; Martha Connelly, the church’s oldest member; and Waylon Tonner, the church’s newest baby, with his parents Ashley and Brendon Tonner.
